Life and Love in Littleton – The Two Way Street Way

By Jonah Berger, Two Way Street Leader

Last Saturday, the amazing self-advocates from The Two-Way Street Project ventured out once again to visit our friends at the Life Care Center of Littleton.

We had a great turnout, had lunch together, and visited with the seniors who were with us. We then rolled up our sleeves and created Christmas boxes for children in need through Operation Christmas Child.

Our gang compiled gift boxes catered to the youth that would receive them. The Two Way Street champions made many boxes, supported each other, and worked with the seniors as well!

We always enjoy our outing to the Life Care Center and value the great partnership. It’s wonderful to see how easily our advocates connect with the seniors. The experience offers a much needed dose of positivity for everyone involved.

Don’t miss our next event as we head out for our annual Holiday dinner in December!  Check out The Arc Arapahoe & Douglas Counties’ Facebook page for details.

Such a nice way to celebrate the holidays by helping seniors help children in need! Our chapter of The Arc is so proud to support this wonderful group!
